Scotland 2023 & 2024
Our trips to Scotland have been a beautiful mix of flowers, gardens, historic estates, Scottish history and stunning scenery. The highlight of our tours in Scotland have been the inspiring floral designers we have worked with, from flower farmers in East Lothian to designers in the Highlands. We learned new, sustainable techniques and the magic of growing flowers in a walled garden. Scottish castles and estates are steeped in history - Scone Palace is the ‘crowning place’ of Scottish kings, Holyroodhouse Palace is the Scottish home of the current Royal Family, but also Mary Queen of Scots, and Dunnottar Castle evokes the lives of the ancient clans and William Wallace. The Highland garden of Inverewe is a magical place where palm trees, poppies and redwoods all grow in one place thanks to the microclimate created by the Gulf Stream. And no trip to Scotland is complete without eating lots of sticky toffee pudding, seeing Hairy Coos, and walking the Royal Mile in Edinburgh.
